A Cricket Match and a Family Day Out

This Sunday, 30th August 2009, Foxearth & Liston parish is hoping, weather permitting, to play a cricket match against a team made up especially for the occasion called ‘The Villagers’, at the Long Melford Cricket Ground at 2pm. The idea is that players that can’t play, haven’t played or haven’t played for a long time get to play! The aim is to have an adult game at 2pm followed by a game with a softer ball if the demand requires from the younger ones, ladies and others! Everyone is to bring their own picnic tea, Long Melford Cricket Club will have their bar open and with good weather it will be a lovely afternoon out for all ages!

If you fancy walking down to Melford we will leave the village hall at 12.30, bikers could follow and catch up on route to arrive at 1.15pm for warm up and photos.

This is an open invitation to all to join in a family afternoon, and if you would like to take part in any capacity, player, scorer, umpire please contact me on 01787 313060 or text 07964 937080.

So come on down and give your much needed support.

FETE, ‘a big thank you’

On behalf of the Church and Village Hall, I would like to thank everyone who gave or made cakes, and spent money on the day. A special ‘thank you’ to all the helpers, in particular the younger ones. The amount raised was £885.

Once again, thank you.
