The Playtex London Marathon Moonwalk

chilli-chicksYes we made it! The Playtex London Marathon Moonwalk 16/17th May 2009!!!

We set off from Hyde Park at nearly midnight and walked all around London, passing Buckingham Palace, the Embankment, Sloan Square and seeing the many sights that London gives after 12 on a Saturday night! 18,300 adults in their bra’s, about 90% of them ladies, walked the 26.3 miles for breast cancer all organised by the website which has raised more than £47 million for breast cancer charities. We, the famous five called the Chilli Chicks, averaged about 4mph including a few wee stops and one blister stop but more importantly we managed to raise around £2,500. So thank you to all those who sponsored us. It was very much appreciated! And to those that wished they had, well, I haven’t sent the money off yet.

If anyone fancies doing it next year, I fully recommend it.
